No. Really, i am not. But i have that video in my computer, and this books, great books, i thing, “31 Songs” by Nick Hornby. So, this last summer, every night in the bar, i put the song. I was alone and listening that song. Why? Good point. This is the south hotel.

Today my place is full, but nobody ate in the restaurante. Why? Well, I feel something heavy in my stomach (too much wine), so, I do not want cook and I do not want talk with the people. I mean, I did not put enought energy today in my bussines.
Anyway, I read a very nice article about a guy, a journalist, who was working in famous restaurante in New York for write a book later. He said that the cooks are persons that they like the adrenaline and the border situations.
Yeah, i think so. I like that moment when you have a little time for make the dinner, just 15 minutes, and the person is waiting, near to the kitchen, maybe in the sofa, drinking something. I like that. It is like a adventure. It is like crossing a strange geography. You need all your mind and all your spirit in focus.

They returned. One day they returned to my place. They are: the guy who told me: “too much salt”, and the woman who took a little piece of my meal and just said “Great”. So, they returned for more. And they ate all the food. Yes. It is rare but real. I do not kown what to think about, maybe my touch is not so bad or, maybe, the other places are worse. I do not kown.

Jazz Festival in Puerto Natales

It is a cold day in Patagonia. Or maybe not. Yesterday I bought differents things: flour, tomatoes and garlic. So, today I want to make “pasta made in home” for a friend who is comming to dinner to talk about the next Jazz Festival in Puerto Natales. I am the inventor of the festival and I have invited to six great argentines musicians. They will meet with the artists from Chile here. It will be a special moment for them and for the people who see it.

The point is that I remember in my own life this plate. For years, my mother gave me rice, with pieces of meat and aji chileno one times per week. Hot. Very hot. If you need cross for a difficult times, if you need get warm for your body, this is right the way

Yesterday my friend and my daugther eat all the fish, so, I was short with the dinner. Great!
After Christophe say good bye, I had a conversation with two women from Spain. We talk about the place -nice, a lot of details- and then about the life. Big road, my dear.
-I like to make what I want, always, this is my fight. It is not easy but this is my mision, I said
-It is so hard. You always are going to the same point: credit card, a new car, a new house, a new clothe, all the stuff, one of them tell me.
-Yeah, I kown, but the life is a very short way. I mean, you live in the shadows. You only live one time, and you breathe life. Everything that you do, every step in your life is special.
-Yeah, yeah, ohhhh!, the life.
Yes, the live is like a ironic game.

Congrio time

A new day!. Yesterday I was alone. But today all is different. Some guys from Santiago came to my place for two days. They are something like genios, people from the a american university, i think. It is a group and they are studing the glaciers in Patagonia. Very nice work. The point is that today I am full. No dinner yet. Also i am waiting for a friend, Christophe, he is the owner of the Francis Drake, a very nice hotel, near to Isla Morena. I always tested my ideas about food with him. He like all kind of food. I can understand that: he is french. I am making “Congrio al limón con papas a la crema”. Perfect.

Congrio and lemon

My way

I put the congrio in whipped yolk of egg. Then i wait for 5 minutes o more. Then i put the congrio in flour and finally it fried in hot oil. When you eat put lemon above. A lot.
